PADI Rescue Diver Course

Would you know what to do if your dive buddy fell into trouble at the surface or underwater? The PADI Rescue diver course is a must for any diver.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is designed to teach you a number of different techniques used to carry out an effective rescue. We practice these skills extensively so that if you ever find yourself in a situation where you need to use them, they will come naturally. At the end of this course you will find yourself a far more confident diver, able to not only look after yourself, but to look out for other divers as well. This is also a pre-requisite for Master Scuba Diver - the highest non-professional PADI rating.

Evening theory sessions- Rescue Theory Review your knowledge of First Aid and apply it to scuba diving. We will talk about all sorts of hypothetical situations so that you understand what kinds of rescue techniques are suitable.

Day one- Confined Water We will spend the day teaching you the techniques you need to be able to carry out an effective rescue. These will include:

  • Approaching a tired or panicked diver

  • Towing a diver to safety

  • Effective entry and exit techniques

  • In-water rescue breathing

We will also practice scenarios, where you will carry out a “rescue” from start to finish.

Day two- Ocean Day Put into practice everything you learned in confined Water. Today we will do several scenarios, and you will work as a group in many different situations to carry out an effective rescue.
